Vietnam is an agriculture power house in ASEAN. In recent years, Vietnam tops 2 about rice export, coffee export, and tops 10 for shrimp export, cashew nut export, catfish export and other several agriculture products.

Vietnam entered into free trade agreements with European Union, UK, and several multilateral agreements such as RCREP, CPTPP.

It takes about 2 hours of flight from Vietnam to all ASEAN countries. Vietnam borders with China thus the goods import and export from China is quite convenient. Vietnam received large amount of FDI annually.

Vietnam Government determined firmly to complete North South Expressway axis and regional expressways in Mekong Delta and Southeastern part of Vietnam as well as Central part of Vietnam during 2021 to 2025. Vietnam has committed to COP 26 in Glasgow UK summit that Vietnam target net zero by 2050. It means Vietnam determined to develop clean energy by all means.

Based on my expertise and experience in developing infrastructure projects in Vietnam as well as developing human resources and agriculture projects, I would like to suggest BRICS ASEAN Chamber the following items

[1] to organize annual conference for trade and investment in Vietnam. To invite business people and companies and diplomats from BRICS nations and ASEAN nations to the conference. The conference can be held in Vi Thanh city, Hau Giang province where I have good position as vice chairman of VTHR, Vi Thanh Human Resource Training and Development Association. This conference shall be a hub to gather business together, and to explore the agriculture, clean energy and other infrastructure business in Vietnam

[2] to provide monthly based information about business opportunities such as trading and investment in BRICS countries as well as in ASEAN countries so that each country head of the Chamber can broadcast it to the local business communities as well as to the local government agency.

26 years of experience in large scale project management and development in Vietnam. Such Infrastructure projects are as Phu My 1 Combined Cycle Power Plant, Nhat Tan Bridge Project, 17 years of leadership of mid size company in Vietnam, 10 years of experience in developing ‘new business’ in Vietnam. Some successful projects such as Vietnam Japan Hitech Institute, Compehensive Industrial Park 1000 ha for Japanese investors.
