I am Regina Chong Ming Choo, of Permanent Residency of Brunei Darussalam and a citizen of Malaysia.
As of now I am 65 years of age, born in Kluang, Johor and raised in Kulai, Kuantan and Kuala Lumpur and have been residing in Brunei since 1976.
Eversince I left my last residency for Brunei, I was actually at 19 years of age and have also been in the marketing line for approximately two years before I embarked to starting to be a Realtor which I jointly worked with my late husband, Ignatius Stephen who eventually set up a News Online Portal which is known as 'Brudirect.com' which currently it is still online.
I was also involved in the Life Insurance Business while doing Real Estate Business. Infact, I retired from AIA Life Insurance Company after running my own insurance agency for Personal reasons. I have actually won many allocates and awards, over the years and am a member of the 'Million Dollar Club'.
As of now I am still actively involved in the Real Estate Business. I have been selling/ renting out properties to many kinds of people including Embassies and Brunei Royalties and so on as well. And I am still running Brudirect News online with the help of IT personnel of course.
My Real Estate Company is known as 'BORNEO HOUSING AGENCIES' which was the very first Registered Realty Company in Brunei and is running here until now presently.
My experience from this Businesses allows me to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life, selling, renting, leasing properties and development and the most interesting part of all is Serving people.
I am looking forward to many Joint Conventions in between our countries of BRIC-ASEAN for showcasing many authentic and useful PRODUCTS,COMMODITIES, SERVICES ,SKILLS (MANPOWER RESOURCES ) FOOD ITEMS including SEAFOOD and any sort of Specialties, and Different parts of MACHINERIES and the list goes on....
Different Countries may have different products originating from their own Countries which are all eager to discover more.
Brunei being a small populated country compared to all other member Countries can go into the Joint Investment sector, both outside Brunei and inside of Brunei like for example: Land development, Harvesting of Aquatic and Agricultural products. Climate is favourable and we have ample land for this sector. We have yet to tap into the Manufacturing sector, like setting up Factories; is limited here.
Currently i am involved in the process of Buying and Selling of Properties which entails the use of Strata Titles (both for Condominiums above the ground and Landed properties alike.)
We are looking into Foreign Investors purchasing Properties and enabling them to stay in Brunei with a Six month permit Visa initially And a continual and renewable visa thereafter shall be extended if
Immigration laws and regulations are met. We have yet to take off as we are waiting for some documentations and some legal process. I hope this will take off within a month or so from now.
If you may advise and show us indicate how we can move on towards a Joint Cooperation in any of these sectors? I would appreciate it and looking forward to your earnest reply.
THANKING YOU AND WARM REGARDS
REGINA CHONG
